HIAP – Helsinki International Artist Programme
is one of the largest international residency centres in Finland and the only one operating in the capital. HIAP focuses primarily on the Visual Arts and is open to artists and curators from various disciplines. In collaboration with local and international partner organizations, HIAP residencies are offered also for professionals in other creative fields, such as Dance, Theatre, Literature and Music.
CuMMA – Curating, Managing and Mediating Art, Aalto University Helsinki
is a two-year transdisciplinary major in contemporary art and its publics providing a structure for reflection and acting, learning and organising in art institutions and the public sphere. In CuMMA the aim is to explore possibilities to understand and shift the paradigms of contemporary art and the world around us. Thus curating, educating and organising is understood as ways of being active, of creating relations and of being open for unexpected encounters, thoughts and knowledges.

is a post-graduate course concerned with core competences in an expanded field of museums and exhibitions. The goal of the two-year university course is to provide the scientific fundamentals and professionalization of cultural work. An intensive engagement with theoretical positions provides the motor for the development of practical competences in the visualisation and realisation of projects in institutions as well as in the free market. The training provides the participants with the tools for efficient, goal-oriented work methodologies relating to cultural activity.
