As director of THE OBITUARY PROJECT, a compendium of contemporary salvage ethnography that transforms a quotidian narrative form, Hope Tucker documents the disappearance of people, sites, cultural markers, and ways of being whose time has or soon will pass. Because Prussian blue can both render images and counteract radiation poisoning, her recent work uses cyanotypes to address the nuclear age.
Screenings include Ann Arbor Film Festival; Chicago Underground Film Festival; Images Festival of Independent Film and Video; Kasseler Documentary and Video Fest; l’Alternativa, Festival de Cinema Independent de Barcelona; Leeds International Film Festival; Punto de Vista, Festival Internacional de Cine Documental de Navarra; Seattle International Film Festival; Wexner Center for the Arts, Columbus
