Erste Bank MoreVALUE Art Award

studio das weisse haus is pleased to announce the first edition of the MoreVALUE Art Award, which will be hosted in cooperation with the VALUE Sponsoring Program of Erste Bank and the Austrian Cultural Forum New York. The awardee will receive

a one-month-residence in New York
from July 1 until July 31, 2016

which is accompanied by

a presentation on the 11th floor of the Austrian Cultural Forum New York
from July 7 until July 31, 2016

Deadline for applications
January 25, 2016, midnight CET

This Call for Proposals is solely addressed to artists and collectives, who were already participants of das weissen haus // studio das weisse haus. Additionally, applicants must be based in Austria in 2016, regardless of nationality.

From all submissions that arrive not later than January 25, 2016 a jury will select the awardee on February 25, 2016. The decision will be announced latest February 29, 2016.

Boris Manner (curator, theorist and author)
Ruth Goubran (Head of Community Affairs und Sponsorship Erste Bank)
Alexandra Grausam (Director das weisse haus // studio das weisse haus)

The prize money of € 3.000,– is provided by the VALUE Sponsoring Program of Erste Bank to cover the travel and living expenses. studio das weisse haus will support the awardee with the preparations beforehand, such us finalizing the concept for the presentation, organizing the transport of the artworks and the travel arrangements. A rent-free living space (artist room with bath and kitchenette) in New York will be offered by the ACFNY. Furthermore it will provide mentoring and a professional support regarding the presentation. The ACFNY also covers the entire shipping costs of the artworks from Austria to the US.
